Trainings and courses
In order to use the Coolfire system in the right way, the right training is essential. That is why, in addition to the system and products, Coolfire also offers various training courses to make your efforts successful. From user and instructor training to refresher courses. This way, you can work confidently.
Coolfire User Training
User training in one day, aimed at firefighters. This training is given by a certified Coolfire instructor and is intended for firefighters with proven experience in firefighting who want to use the Coolfire system in practice.
After completion, the participant is able to apply the Coolfire system in an effective and responsible manner, with insight into the underlying methodology and way of thinking.
Structure of the training
The course consists of a combination of theory and practical exercises. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate as proof of competence in using the system safely and responsibly. To keep knowledge and skills up to date, it is recommended to take a refresher course every three years.
Coolfire Instructor Training
The Coolfire Instructor Training is a UHP instructor course and covers two days, including one day at a training center. The training ends with a test and, if successful, a diploma. During this training, we train firefighters to become full-fledged instructors, with both theory and practical components. We do this in small groups of a maximum of 8 students.
PURPOSE OF THE TRAINING
The instructor training programme focuses on training fire brigade instructors in the safe and efficient use of the Coolfire system. After completion, they will be able to train users according to the Coolfire methodology and integrate this methodology into the existing procedures within their own organisation. The training is intended for participants with demonstrable experience in firefighting and instructing firefighting personnel. They therefore will have the necessary firefighting qualifications.
DESIGN OF THE TRAINING
The training consists of a theoretical part and practical exercises. After successful completion, students receive a certificate that authorizes them to train Coolfire users for three years. After this period, refresher training is required to extend the license.
Coolfire Refresher Training
To keep your knowledge and that of your team up to date, we recommend refresher training once every three years. During this training, we will repeat the basics, but we will also tell you everything about the latest developments in the world of UHPS. So indispensable! Coolfire refresher courses are available for users and instructors.
For users
Users are advised to take a refresher course once every three years, given by a certified Coolfire instructor. This can be done either in person or online. During this training, the theoretical basics are reviewed and supplemented with the latest developments and practical information about UHP extinguishing and the correct use of specialised firefighting techniques such as the piercing kit. After completing the training, the user is fully up to date and ready for the next three years.
For instructors
To ensure the quality of the instructions, instructors are expected to undergo refresher training once every three years. This can also be followed online as well as in person. This refresher course ensures that their knowledge remains up to date and that they are up to date with the latest insights and developments in the world of UHP extinguishing. After successfully completing this training, the instructor is again authorized to teach the user course. The certificate will also be extended by three years.
